Today July 29th Marks One Year Of Daasebre Gyamenah’s Demise
Today july 29 2017 marks one year since the Ghanaian music industry and the Gyamenah family lost a great Man. Daasebre Gyamenah was comfirmed dead after a short illness reported in the early hours of Friday at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on july 29 2016.
Ghanaian highlife musician Of Daasebre Gyamenah became very popular for his hit Album Kokooko (1999) which featured Lord Kenya and Kokooko was said to be the first major fusion of hiplife and highlife in Ghana.
Daasebre was born a Muslim and also from a royal home with the name Daasebre Gyamenah Abubakar Siddiq. Daasebre Gyamenah was not lucky to meet his mom who was a Muslim as she passed away when Daasebre was only three months old.
We will do well to remember this day in our history july 29, the man was a great Legend to me.
